Become a volunteer with the Haagse Kunstkring

The Haagse Kunstkring is a thriving association of professional artists and art lovers with a diverse and rich historical background. For over 135 years, the HKK has organized and programmed a multitude of activities: exhibitions, concerts, lectures, book presentations, performances and workshops. Artists from virtually all disciplines are members, a diverse community of visual artists, architects, designers, writers, poets, musicians, filmmakers, recital artists and actors.

The Art Circle is an inspiring meeting place, with three exhibition rooms and a theater hall.

A committed team of more than fifty volunteers forms the heart of the organization. Thanks to their efforts, the Haagse Kunstkring remains an active and accessible place for art and meeting in The Hague.

Volunteers wanted

The Haagse Kunstkring works with volunteers who dedicate themselves in a variety of areas. That commitment is broad. Volunteers welcome visitors to the gallery, provide bar services, assist with the set-up of exhibitions, help with technical work around performances and presentations, or contribute to administrative and organizational tasks at the office. Support is also welcome in the areas of communications and social media. In addition, vacancies occur regularly within the board and committees.

Whether you enjoy working with audiences, prefer to work behind the scenes, or want to use your organizational or communication skills, there are a variety of ways to contribute to the cultural life of the Arts Circle.
