De Haagse Kunstkring has been a meeting place for art and culture in The Hague since 1891. Our association brings together artists, writers, musicians, designers, architects, actors, performance artists, directors, composers and other creatives to share and inspire. Artists as well as art-loving members are the heart of our community. You can make a lasting contribution to our work by including the Haagse Kunstkring in your will.

The Haagse Kunstkring exists thanks in part to the generous bequests of former members and friends. A special example is Leonora van Bijsterveld 1888-1955. She was a working member of the Fine Arts Department. The Haagse Kunstkring owes much to her. In her will, except for a few bequests, she named the Haagse Kunstkring as her sole heir. This bequest enabled the Kunstkring to purchase the building at 64 Denneweg. We are incredibly grateful to her, thanks to her generous gift we have been able to build a solid foundation for our activities and preserve our heritage.

How you can contribute
Please consider including the Haagse Kunstkring in your estate. This can be done in several ways:
Bequest: A bequest is a specific gift you leave, such as a sum of money or a work of art or real estate. You can specify in your will exactly what you want to bequeath to the Haagse Kunstkring.
Inheritance: You can name the Haagse Kunstkring as (co-)heir in your will. This means that we receive a percentage of your estate.
Named Fund: You can establish a named fund specifically for a particular purpose within the Haagse Kunstkring, such as education or support of young artists.
